Wellness Lifestyles Inc. Announces Board, CEO and Senior Management Changes
VANCOUVER, B.C., April 3, 2018 – Wellness Lifestyles Inc. (TSX.V: WELL) (the “Company” or “WELL”), is the owner and operator of six Primary Healthcare facilities and Wellness Centres in British Columbia. WELL’s mandate is to modernize its patient-focused health care facilities through digitally enabled technology in order to offer the best possible experience for patients and doctors alike.
WELL’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the following senior management and Board positions; Mr. Hamed Shahbazi, current WELL Director, will become the Chairman of the Board effective immediately. Mr. Shahbazi offers more than twenty years of experience in technology with operating, investment and board positions with various companies including TIO Networks where he was founder and CEO. On May 23, 2018, Mr. Shahbazi will also accept the role of Chief Executive Officer of Wellness Lifestyles. Alex Read, the current Chief Executive Officer, will then assume the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Shahbazi’s focus will be to consolidate and tech-enable the primary healthcare marketplace. This entails acquiring profitable operating assets in the North American primary healthcare space (initially in Canada and then the US), while adding leading edge technologies to improve physician care performance including telemedicine, precision medicine and a comprehensive information system strategy to dramatically improve operating performance.
